Spot on. EA/DICE’s blueprint for squeezing paying players: XP caps that push Battle Pass skips, bot-filled lobbies stalling players for the inevitable $80 “catch-up” pack. A microtransaction prison, plain and simple.
But the real gut punch? They screamed “Back to Battlefield’s DNA!” with massive marketing to lure us loyal veterans, then delivered a sloppy, recycled 2042 clone (or worse🤮🤮). That’s not false advertising, it’s a calculated, characterless betrayal.
Twelve years after BF4 (2013) and nine after BF1 (2016), with source code in hand and far better tech, this team couldn’t even come close. Hacks flooded PC from day one, wallhacks everywhere despite the laughable “best anti-cheat ever.” 💩
FOV and scaling feel like deliberate PC sabotage. Anything above 110 turns the game into a distorted blur. Don’t hide behind the “visibility” excuse; we’ve played every Battlefield at high FOV with no issue.
The nostalgia bait failed because the work is amateur, directionless, and detached from the franchise’s soul. The result is a hollow imitation built on incompetence and arrogance.💩💩
And those few still calling it “good”? Either nostalgia-blinded or parroting paid creators with no critical thought left.
