Audio Delay/Desync

Lately, my audio has been having major issues. Some things like reloading, vehicles, defibs, voicelines, etc., seem to trigger really late or sometimes not at all, while other things like gunshots and hitmarkers consistently play on time. So far, I have tried verifying files, different output devices, all sorts of Windows and BF 6 audio settings, checked drivers, checked Windows updates, and deleted and redownloaded the game. Redownloading the game seems to be a somewhat unreliable temporary fix, where after redownloading, all audio plays on time without cutting out for a while, and it sounds great. But without fail, it always starts bugging out again eventually. Sometimes after just a few matches, sometimes hours of playtime, but redownloading is the only thing l've found to "reset" it. My PC more than meets the game's recommended specs and doesn't have any issues keeping high framerates without any performance drops at high and ultra settings. The game doesn't seem to be using too much RAM, CPU, or GPU when checking task manager and I have no similar issues on any other games so l'm just at an absolute loss. If anyone else has experienced this or has found a fix, PLEASE let me know.

  • To sum up this whole post with replies, if you are having this same issue it seems to be tied to overheating storage when running BF6 due to the game constantly streaming data between matches and reloading everything every match. I purchased a new almost identical SSD to my old one but with a heatsink as opposed to without in the case of my old SSD and have had no issues since. As far as I’ve seen, the only full proof fix is to make sure your storage is staying properly cooled since BF6 is so intense on it. Otherwise if you don’t have storage with a decent heatsink or can’t quite get one right now, deleting all HD textures in the games dlc tab seems to be a decent workaround.

New ssd came in earlier last week, I got the Samsung 990 pro with heat sink cause it kept popping up in every review I found. I redownloaded HD textures and even bumped up my graphics in BF6 and have had no issues since, graphical or audio wise. My load times in most games ESPECIALLY BF6 have drastically improved as well so I think your theory about overheating SSDs on BF6 was right. My old SSD has the same speeds and everything as the new one just no heatsink so that’d be my guess. Never heard of such an issue in a game but you never know with an EA product. So I guess if you’re still having issues it seems either a decent heatsink for you current SSD or a new SSD may be the only sure fire fix. Luckily I was in the market for a new SSD anyway so it worked out.
