B6 continues to crash for no reason after many "fixes"

A few weeks ago B6 started to randomly crash to desktop for no reason and with no error codes. It was infrequent at first but it's gotten worse and worse to the point where I can't play for more than a minute or two now. I have tried a multitude of fixes and nothing is working. I own a new and very high-end rig. This problem only occurs with B6 as far as I can tell. Can anyone please help?? I'm getting desperate...

Here is what I've tried already off the top of my head:

  • Tweaking the BIOS
  • Removing the “Levels” folders
  • Generic instructions on the EA website
  • Verifying the game files
  • Uninstalling and reinstalling the game
  • Tweaking the GPU in the AMD software
  • Lowering every graphics option to the lowest possible setting
  • Deleting the TOC files
  • Changing the exploit protection settings in windows
  • Giving bf6.exe admin permissions

  • Hi, I've also been experiencing this issue for the past week or so and I found a workaround, it's not pretty but it'll let you play in the meantime.

I am on AM5 and use a 990pro, I found the 980 pro to be affected as well. What happens, at least in my case, is that the drive that stores the game disappears giving you a stornvme error, so the game crashes or you get a BSOD if the game is on the C: drive.

    Option 1#

If you are on AM5 like me, the only way to get bf6 to be stable is by using a sata ssd for both windows and bf6. Using my 990 pro for OS and sata for bf6 gave me a BSOD.

    Option 2#

If you are on AM4 you should be able to use nvme drives. I verified this with the 980 pro. So your issue is likely faulty hardware (eg. Psu) or Windows.

    Hope this helps

Did they say a future update might work? Do you mind sharing the number you called for help?

Do we think the update on Dec 9 might fix the problem? Seems like it's impacting a good chunk of people.

  • Look in Windows Event Viewer for BF6 and EA Anticheat error messages. The messages are usually in Applications section of Windows Event Viewer.

Also check in Documents\Battlefield 6\Crash Dumps

If I don't reply to your post then personal message me. Sometimes the forum fails to notify me when someone replies.

Exactly the same thing and it also started a few weeks ago… it does not show any errors. Sometimes it happens after a match or in the beginning a match. Before the map loads.
