Battlefield 6 Crashing
Hey everyone, Im looking for help in my Battlefield 6 crashing. I had this issue since launch, and left BF6 since I wasnt able to fix it, but recently had issues with my League of Legends Vanguard causing a BSOD. I thought Id try and fix it, which made me want to try and fix the BF6 issue I had. I redownloaded BF6, and got to work.
Specs:
i9-14900k | RTX 4080 Super | Gigabyte Z790 Aorus Master X Rev 1.1 | 32GB DDR5 Corsair RAM
Issue:
BF6 Silently crashing onto Desktop with no error. BF6 Crashing causing BSOD. BF6 Crashing causing a system restart without a BSOD. I can play sometimes for few matches, and be ok. But then can crash in the Menu, or loadout screen, or when loading. Sometimes can crash just after the Title Screen.
Things I did:
- Update BIOS from F7 (August 2024 or 2025) to F12
- Updated Intel CPU microcode: i9-14900k from 0x129 to 0x12F (which came with BIOS update)
- Used Intel Default Settings after BIOS Update
- Confirmed Secure Boot, TPM 2.0, VT-d, Memory Integrity, Kernal DMA Protection and Resizable BAR is enabled.
- Update from Windows 10 22H2 to Windows 11 25H2
- Try turning off Vanguard, Wallpaper Engine, Riot Client, and other background apps
- Updated my graphics drivers that were quite old (581.57 to 616.56)
- Verified BF6 files through Steam - Which 3 files were missing and redownloaded
- Repaired / Reinstalled / Updated EA Javelin AntiCheat
- Tested with DX12 explicitly enabled through save file in Documents for BF6 (GstRender.Dx12Enabled [0 -> 1])
- Tested BF6 across multiple sessions, during different stages of the fixes, resulting in the exact same fault with no proper trigger
- Analysed multiple MiniDumps Crashes through WinDbg -> All of them pointed to 'eaanticheat.sys' and contained 'eaanticheat+4cc94a1'
Same issue persists after many restarts, verifications and other changes. Screenshots will be added of the WinDbg.
Note:
**I have few things running in the background. 'Wallpaper Engine' /// 'Razer' software I believe (not shown on taskbar tray, but Im using the RGB Controller to control lighting in my case, but I guess its still running to some degree in the background, just not properly indicated) /// 'SignalRGB' for controlling lighting /// '3DExperience' for SolidWorks /// 'Samsung Magician' For my SSD check, although its brand new software I downloaded few days ago /// 'Steam' /// 'Vanguard' + 'Riot Client' /// 'Voicemeter Banana' /// 'Spotify' /// 'Topping USB' + 'Focusrite Control' for my microphone + headphone config
XMP Enabled - DDR5 6000
Also, I did have an issue like 2 weeks ago, when my Samsung 990 Pro M.2 I have for my games, had seized to live temporarily. I was updating games on Steam until a 500mb update said I dont have space on drive, although I had 500-600gb left. I tried to enter a folder on the drive and got hit with a message that the drive doesnt exist. Relaunched Steam and drive was gone. I did a cold restart of my PC - Power down, unplug PSU, hold power button, wait a little while, plug back in and turn on. This brought my drive back, and thats when I downloaded Samsung Magician, and it said my drive is in Good condition, zero faults or warnings shown on drive ever, so statistically it looks good. First time ever happened. Every other game works, Arma 3, Destiny 2, Space Marine 2, Iron Nest, etc. Drive works amazingly again, no problem. Considering BF6 was crashing during its launch date, I feel like this shouldnt be related, but wanted to point it out anyway. Seems its an issue with Kernel level anti cheat, causing BSOD, since Vanguard did it recently a few times aswell (Never did it happen before, just out of nowhere when playing Custom ARAM Mayhem with friends, did it start crashing). **
Any solutions or directions to point to? Dont want to go through reinstalling Windows or anything, although I do have everything on seperate drives, one for Recordings + Photoshop stuff, one for games and one for OS. But prefer to steer away from needing of Windows Reinstallation.
