Exact same problem for me. It shows the splash screen and when the splash screen closes, nothing.... I haven't been able to play for like since the winter update I think
EDIT: I've managed to fix it. I installed battlefield seperately on the EA app instead of steam and launched it there. Closed the game and launched on steam and it worked like normal again.
