BF6 Bug: Severe Hitching at G-Sync/Reflex FPS Cap
I’m having a major issue with frame pacing in Battlefield 6 when using G-Sync and NVIDIA Reflex.
On my 144Hz monitor, when I enable G-Sync and V-Sync (via NVIDIA Control Panel), the game automatically caps my frame rate at 138 FPS. This is expected behavior for NVIDIA’s Low Latency tech, but the problem is that the second the game reaches this 138 FPS threshold, it starts breaking.
Instead of a smooth experience, I get severe stuttering and constant hitching as soon as the counter hits 138. If the FPS stays below the cap (around 100-120), the game is perfectly fluid.
I’ve tried manual caps at 141 and 135 to give it more "breathing room," but the result is the same: the moment the engine hits the limiter, the smoothness vanishes. Turning off G-Sync/V-Sync stops the stuttering but results in a blurry, tearing mess.
It seems like the BF6 engine has a conflict with the NVIDIA driver's automatic FPS capping, causing a "sync-clash" at the ceiling.
Specs: RTX 4060, Ryzen 7 7840HS, 144Hz G-Sync. Settings: G-Sync ON, NVCP V-Sync ON, In-game V-Sync OFF, Reflex ON.
Is anyone else experiencing this hitching at the 138 FPS auto-cap?
