CHRONIC CRASHING ExitType: 95 (267)

Game will randomly freeze/lock up pc for several seconds, this can be in game, or in menu.  Sometime the game will recover, other times it will crash with no error message.  Looking at event viewer will show:

The following information was included with the event:

EAAntiCheatService
ExitType: 95 (267)

I have tried everything people have suggested relating to similar crashes. Downclocked all components, disabled all hardware boost settings.  Removed all overlays, wiped all previous drivers and installed fresh. updated bios, removed bar resize, added ea anticheat to security exceptions list. Reinstalled game, reinstalled ea anticheat.  Nothing has made a difference, sometimes this crash will happen multiple times in an hour, sometimes only once.

How is it possible for the software to intentionally crash a game and yet not give a reason for said action?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • So after much trial and error I have found that if I use WIFI instead of ethernet I do not have these crashes.

After I discovered this I tried updating my ethernet drivers, I have two on my pc, an Intel I225-V and a I226, but still the same crash and ExitType: 95 (267) in event viewer would occur. I know these particular intel controllers can be buggy, so I'm not sure where to place the blame fully, all I know at the moment is that switching to wifi gets me around this particular issue, although it sucks I cant use wired connection at least until I get a different ethernet card.
