Controller on PC no longer viable

Steam controller has not worked on PC since day one and it is still not fixed. You will randomly shoot every other second or so because of the anti cheat. Since the season 4 update, no controller is viable now. Every game I lost control and unable to do anything while my gun just kept firing non-stop. Even when I unplugged my controller it would still continue to fire by itself. I unplugged mouse and keyboard but that made 0 difference. Only way to "reset" was to unplug and replug controller and have steam recognize a new input.

  • Hey DaLoogie725 , this problem was annoying the absolute hell out of me. Try this, it was the only thing that worked for me

    1. Open Steam → Library.
    2. Right-click Battlefield 6 → Properties.
    3Select Controller on the left.
    4. Under Override for Battlefield 6, change the dropdown from Use default settings to Disable Steam Input. Steam supports this per-game override specifically.
    5. Fully close Battlefield 6 and relaunch it.

    Hope this helps!
