Desync: Dying behind cover while moving

Just wanted to post something about this and get the communities input as well:

It would appear there is some issue with the netcode/desync between the client and the server, or possibly the algorithm used to detect shots needs some work.  Many of us have noticed that, while moving and either diving behind cover or sliding, you start taking rounds.  You make it behind cover, only to die to the individual shooting at you.  Or vice versa.

I do understand that this is a new release.  But 8 of us, over the past 20-30hrs of game play, have kept an eye on it.  There is no high ping issues, no one is using subpar internet, and when a teammate dies you can see they died behind the cover.

I just wanted to see if anyone else has noticed the same and, if so, bump this up so they can fix it.

  • Yeah this has become a REAL issue, most specifically during crossplay matches. I’m on PS5 and, despite all of the “advantages” of controller play, I die behind cover, or die to an SMG from 100m away, or die within less than a second of seeing the enemy.

It has gotten to the point where I feel like to even have the shadow of a chance I need to turn off crossplay. This however results in matches that are often half human, half bot. This causes it’s own issues.

  • The Desync since today’s update is significantly worse for me personally. I have saved clips of how bad it is, but dying a ton behind cover, even more-so than before tge update. Not fun Dice

Same as Coffee, after todays update the game is virtually unplayable with a ping of 5. D Sync has always been an issue in BF but this is ridiculous. I love BF6 and its return to real battlefield, I just want to be able to play.
