Updated logs

Knacky18 Hey, there

Thanks for providing that info. So, based on that file, this is what I found, and the steps I would suggest taking.

Looking at the report, the DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG crashes are occurring because Windows Desktop Window Manager (dwm.exe) crashes directly inside the AMD graphics driver (amdxx64.dll).

The report also flagged an older AMD GPU driver, along with outdated audio and peripheral drivers.

• AMD Radeon RX 7900 XT Driver: Version 32.0.21025.25005 (Date: Oct 9, 2025)
• VB-Audio Virtual Cable Driver: Version 3.3.1.7 (Date: Oct 7, 2024)
• Realtek High Definition Audio Driver: Version 6.0.9703.1 (Date: July 2, 2024)
• Razer Peripheral Drivers: Mouse/Keyboard filters dated from May 2022 to June 2023

Troubleshooting Steps:

1. Perform a Clean GPU Driver Reinstall (DDU)

• Download Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) and the latest driver package from AMD.
• Boot Windows into Safe Mode, run DDU to clean out all existing display drivers, reboot normally, and install the freshly downloaded AMD driver.

2. Update Outdated System Drivers

• Update your Realtek Audio driver directly from your motherboard manufacturer's support page.
• Update Razer Synapse to refresh older input device drivers.

EA_Shepard thanks for looking into my issue. Regarding the outdated graphics card driver: I intentionally roll back to previous versions because the game crashes on newer ones. I performed all driver installation steps using Safe Mode and the AMD driver removal utility. I have updated the audio and Razer drivers. I’m attaching a new diagnostic file. However, I remain convinced that updating to newer driver versions won't solve the problem. What do you think?

All users experiencing this same issue, please share your solutions. Don't sit on the sidelines.

Here is some additional information I gathered during testing. I tried various tips—including those from Reddit—ranging from changing drivers to lowering RAM frequency. I adjusted the game's graphics settings and tried every preset. I switched from DX11 to DX12. None of this yielded any results. I ran stress tests in other games, and everything was fine. I also ran benchmarks (OCCT, AIDA) with no issues. The game crashes at the exact same spot every time: on the spawn selection screen after dying. Nowhere else. A micro-stutter occurs—as if the GPU load suddenly drops—followed by a driver timeout. It is impossible to predict when the crash will happen; it might crash several times in a single session, or not at all.

So the spawn selection screen was an issue. I know updates 1.3.1.5 and 1.3.2.0 both had updates in them with that specific issue. I am looking for that issue though. It has been a good min since I saw it. Apologies for the wall of text. This was the last thing I had seen on it.

Since standard graphics tuning and stress tests haven't resolved this, here are targeted workarounds specifically designed for GPU downclock and UI transition crashes:

1. Set a Minimum GPU Clock Speed in AMD Adrenalin

Preventing the GPU core clock from plunging too low during UI transitions helps prevent driver timeouts:

• Open AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition > Performance > Tuning.
• Select Custom tuning for Battlefield 6.
• Enable GPU Tuning and toggle Advanced Control ON.
• Set the Minimum Frequency (MHz) to roughly 100–200 MHz lower than your Maximum Frequency (for example, if Max is 2500 MHz, set Min to ~2300 MHz).
• Click Apply Changes.

2. Disable AMD Driver Enhancements & Overlays

Driver-level frame generation and latency features can crash during 3D-to-2D UI mode switches:

• In AMD Adrenalin (Gaming > Battlefield 6 profile), turn OFF:
  • AMD Fluid Motion Frames (AFMF)
  • Radeon Anti-Lag / Anti-Lag+
  • Radeon Boost
  • Radeon Super Resolution (RSR)

3. Disable Multi-Plane Overlay (MPO) in Windows Because you are running a dual-monitor setup (LG UltraGear + BenQ)

• Download the official Microsoft MPO disable registry file (or set WriteBlockTest to 1 under HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\DWM).
• Restart your PC.

4. Increase Windows GPU Timeout Delay (TdrDelay)

By default, Windows resets the GPU driver if it takes more than 2 seconds to respond during a transition stutter:

• Press Win + R, type regedit, and press Enter.
• Navigate to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\GraphicsDrivers
  • Right-click in the right pane > New > DWORD (32-bit) Value.
  • Name it TdrDelay and set its Value data to 8 (Decimal).
• Restart your PC.

Thanks, I'll give it a try, then let you know the result and attach the diagnostic file.

EA_Shepard did everything except lower the frequencies. No crashes detected so far. This might be due to the mode change on the new Season 4 map. I'll keep monitoring the situation.
