UNDER INVESTIGATION – Marked As Solution For Visibility – Not Resolved

    Hi folks,

Thank you again for continuing to share your crash reports -- they’ve been incredibly helpful as we work through this issue. We understand how frustrating this is, and we want to assure you that our team is actively investigating the root cause.

‼️ Potential WorkaroundIn the meantime, we would like to share some workarounds that have helped some players (example here) get back in-game. We’re fully aware that some workarounds, like a reinstall, aren’t an ideal recommendation, and we’re conscious of the time it takes from you, but it has resolved the issue for a number of affected players:

    1. Remove “Levels” Folders (Player-Reported)

Some players have reported success with the following:

    • Go to your Battlefield 6 installation directory (this may differ depending on where you installed the game)
    • Use the search bar in the top-right of File Explorer to search for “levels”
    • Delete all “levels” folders found
    • Then run a Repair (Steam or EA app)

    2. Crashing When Entering Eastwood

If you’re crashing specifically when loading into Eastwood:

    • In your game installation directory, delete the file:
      Data\Win32\game\glaciermp\levels\mp_eastwood\mp_eastwood.toc
    • Then run a Repair (Steam or EA app)

    3. Crashing When Loading Into Specific Maps

If the crash occurs while loading into any of these levels:

    • Cairo
    • Badlands
    • Eastwood

    Try the following:

    • Navigate to:
      Data\Win32\game\glaciermp\levels\
(within your Battlefield 6 installation folder)
    • Delete all files inside that levels directory
    • Then run a Repair (Steam or EA app)

    4. Full Reinstall (Last Resort)

This is not an ideal step, but it has resolved the issue for a number of affected players:

    1. Uninstall the game
    2. Reboot your PC
    3. Reinstall the game

Still Crashing After All of This?

If none of the above helps and you’re still experiencing crashes, we’d like to gather a bit more information so we can escalate effectively:

    • Which platform are you using? (EA app, Steam, etc.)
    • A crash dump (if one is being generated) 👉 Check HERE
    • How the game was patched:
      • Automatically updated through your launcher
      • Manually updated using an “Update” button
      • Or anything else you noticed during the update process

This information is greatly appreciated and helps us narrow down the remaining scenarios.

These aren't permanent solutions, but rather a temporary measure that has shown positive results for others while we continue to work on a proper solution. We truly appreciate your patience and the time you’ve taken to send in reports. It genuinely helps us move faster toward a more permanent fix.

    Thank you.
