How to download through steam, amazon code not accepted

Bought BF6 on amazon and got a code activated it at EA and it worked, connected EA account to steam and tried to acticate it there but they ask for a certain, the usual yyyy-xxxx- etc code format. Anyone know how to download the game lol ? Im old and havent done this for ages. Thanks :-) Or do I need to dl the EA app ?

Steam and the EA app are two separate storefronts, whose codes don't carry over to each other. So if you bought a code for the EA app, you won't be able to redeem it on Steam, and vice versa. You'll need to download and launch the game via the EA app.
