Javeline BSOD on and off since release
AI SLOP DISCLOSURE: Content below the line is AI generated, but I`m real person who decked out PC specifically to play THE favorite game and at wits end with it. I`m ready to provide any kind of data and participate in testing if needed. I have Battlefield own CrashDump/GameStall but cant attach them. I`ve also spent several reset worth of fable-tokens and weeks of testing(both me and pc shop) on it.

TITLE: Recurring BSOD 0xEF CRITICAL_PROCESS_DIED (csrss.exe) — kernel dump points to EA AntiCheat, full dump available
Hi EA_LunardustCat — you've been collecting crash dumps for the EAAntiCheat BSODs (threads 13277095, 13337729). I have a full kernel dump of the crash and analysis results. Posting here since I can't DM.
System
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D
- RAM: 96 GB (2×48) DDR5 — crash occurs with EXPO on AND off (JEDEC 5600 verified)
- Motherboard: MSI x870e, BIOS 7E59v2AC3 (latest)
- OS: Windows 11 Pro 24H2 (build 26100), fully updated
- Platform: Steam
Issue BSODs only in BF6, since release, on and off between patches. Codes: 0xEF CRITICAL_PROCESS_DIED (most), 0xC000021A, one 0x1E KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED. Sequence is always: game closes → other apps close over ~15 s → BSOD. Happens mid-game and also at game startup (near-zero load). Windows fails to write the crash dump on the default path (volmgr Event 161, "BugCheckProgress 0x00040049") — I captured a full kernel dump via a DedicatedDumpFile on a second drive.
Kernel dump analysis (2026-07-16, build 26100)
BugCheck 0xEF, Arg1 = EPROCESS 0xffffab891ffef140 → ImageFileName = csrss.exe
eaanticheat.sys loaded at crash time
Windows process-termination auditing (Security Event 4689): the last processes to exit before the bugcheck are two instances of EAAntiCheat.GameServiceLauncher.exe, terminating 16 ms apart — suggests a duplicate service-registration collision (cf. thread 12745090)
Ruled out (crash persists through all of these) CPU, PSU and SSD physically replaced with same models · EXPO off · BIOS X3D Gaming Mode (half CPU) · PBO/CO removed · HVCI toggled both ways · hypervisor fully disabled · MSI Center / Parsec / Logitech G HUB uninstalled · AMD driver cleanup · anticheat fully uninstalled via EAAntiCheat.Installer, stale duplicate version folder removed, files verified, reinstalled fresh (crashed on next launch) · admin on bf6.exe + anticheat launcher · zero WHEA events across weeks of logs · all stress tests pass, BF6 is the only app that crashes this machine.

- DxDiag.txt
- msinfo32 export
- Event log summary (Kernel-Power 41 series with bugcheck codes, volmgr 161, Security 4689 cascade)
- Documents\Battlefield 6\CrashDumps files (.mdmp — note: EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION, write to 0x0 in bf6.exe)
- C:\Windows\Minidump is EMPTY — dump creation fails on this machine (see volmgr 161 above)
- Full kernel dump (MEMORY.DMP, ~3.8 GB, zipped) available — tell me where to upload, or I'll share a cloud link on request.
Hi there,
Sorry to hear you're running into BSODs, and thanks for sharing the information.
Please try the following steps:
1. Check both SSDs/NVMe drives first.
- Use Samsung Magician for the Samsung SSD and Western Digital Dashboard for the WD_BLACK SN770.
- Check drive health/SMART status.
- Check for firmware updates for both drives.
- If Battlefield 6 is installed on D:, please free up more space on that drive. It currently has relatively low free space.
2. Run these commands as Administrator:
chkdsk C: /scan
chkdsk D: /scan
sfc /scannow
DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
3. Repair or fully reinstall EA Javelin anti-cheat, then verify/repair the Battlefield 6 game files.
4. Update AMD chipset drivers and fix the AMD iGPU driver issue.
5. Try a clean NVIDIA driver installation.
Let me know how it goes. Thanks.
