Hey everyone,I’ve been having a really frustrating issue in Battlefield 6 where my keyboard inputs randomly stop registering.When I hold W to move forward, it will suddenly stop recognizing that I’m holding it down — as if I released the key. I'm having the exact same issue and it's driving me crazy. I've read that this has happened in other BF's before and it was sometimes caused by the Origin overlay. I'm using EA Desktop so i don't really know what to do. Have you found a solution yet?

Same issue here. Does it happen if you don't sprint or crouch and just run around? I'm trying to pin down whether or not it comes from multiple key presses at the same time, or maybe the modifier keys like shift or ctrl. From what I can tell, if I press one key at a time, it happens much less, but I'm not sure if it's 100% of the time.

Yes it certainly gets worse when doing multiple keypresses at the same time. But even when holding one key, for example in the menu where you have to enter the game by holding spacebar, the spacebar action in that short amount of time can get interrupted.

I am having the same exact problem. I spent 18 hours during the beta trying to fix this. I even went as far as to upgrade components in my computer to no resolve. This was so frustrating, after doing some research, looks like a similar issue was found in 2042 and that was not patched until 2025...Needless to say, I refunded the game, I am not going to wait for years for that kind of fix. I will buy again when they fix it and selling on steam for 15$.

No solution sadly, I have reinstalled the game, tried I don’t know how many combination of settings in game, closing down every process not needed to play the game on the computer - to no resolve sadly.

Hey everyone,

I’ve been having a really frustrating issue in Battlefield 6 where my keyboard inputs randomly stop registering.

When I hold W to move forward, it will suddenly stop recognizing that I’m holding it down — as if I released the key. It’s especially noticeable while side-strafing, sprinting, crouching, reviving, or doing any other action that requires holding more than one key.

What’s happening

While holding movement keys (W, A, D, Shift, etc.), the game occasionally acts like I’ve let go.
Happens even in menus, not just during gameplay.
Mouse input continues to work fine.
Tried 3 different keyboards, different USB ports and cables — same issue every time.
All other games work perfectly, no input issues elsewhere.

Has anyone else run into this? Or found a possible fix or workaround?

It’s making the game really hard to play at the moment.

I am having the same exact problem.

I have the same problem. And its a serious problem. Cannot even revive anyone because the action cancels itself. Can´t find any solution.

Did you solve your problem? I had the same problem with the "D" key. While yesterday it only worked in the game, now it's dead even in Windows. I suspect that this is some serious bug with the game engine.
