Keyboard Inputs Randomly Stop Registering (Holding Keys Breaks Movement)
Hey everyone,
I’ve been having a really frustrating issue in Battlefield 6 where my keyboard inputs randomly stop registering.
When I hold W to move forward, it will suddenly stop recognizing that I’m holding it down — as if I released the key. It’s especially noticeable while side-strafing, sprinting, crouching, reviving, or doing any other action that requires holding more than one key.
Mouse inputs (aiming, shooting) are completely unaffected.
What’s happening
- While holding movement keys (W, A, D, Shift, etc.), the game occasionally acts like I’ve let go.
- Happens even in menus, not just during gameplay.
- Mouse input continues to work fine.
- Tried 3 different keyboards, different USB ports and cables — same issue every time.
- All other games work perfectly, no input issues elsewhere.
Has anyone else run into this? Or found a possible fix or workaround?
It’s making the game really hard to play at the moment.
Edit:
I found a solution to my issue. When I started the game, my computer would constantly Connect and disconnect from a random bluetooth input device. I removed all bluetooth device connections from Windows and now it’s fine.
