Lag and Connection Issues After Update

The game is practically unplayable after the update.  I had minimal issues before the big winter update, but now I either can't connect at all, can't sync with Steam, or get stuck with an unplayable, laggy mess when I do get on.  Yes, I've reinstalled and done all the other useless suggestions that don't actually fix issues when the issues are not on my end.  GG boys.
