Yep, all your game data is stored within that original EA ID / Account. Once you unlink it and link to a NEW / DIFFERENT email you're starting over. Your purchase stays on whatever platform you buy it on but your progress will forever stay with that original email / account ID - you can't unlink for 1 year.
