Matchmaking and weapong porgress issues

Hi, I’m having some issues with Battlefield 6.

Matchmaking problem

I can’t connect to any match through matchmaking. I’m trying to connect from Russia, but as far as I know, players from some other countries are experiencing the same issue. Here’s what happens:

  1. The game searches for a match;
  2. Once a match is found, it starts connecting;
  3. Black screen;
  4. Battlefield logo;
  5. Then it goes back to the main menu.
Battlefield logo after black screen. No error messages.

There are no error messages, it just won’t let me join any matches. This started on 2025-10-21 (right after the AWS outage). Everything was working perfectly since release before that.
If I turn on a VPN before launching the game, matchmaking works normally - but only with some VPN servers.

UPD:

Resolved after joining the match

After leveling up the NVO-228E to level 7, the attachments that should unlock at level 6 (Green Laser and Sight OSA-7 1.00X) are still locked.

  4. Maps:

    4. Siege of Cairo
  5. Press [X] PLAY
  6. Press START (crossplay is active)
  7. Wait until server found (9-20 sec)
  8. Black screen appears
  9. Battlefield logo appears
  10. Main menu appears

  • I am having the same problem. I am in the middle east and the black screen is permanent unless I restart the game. but when I search again I am back again to a black screen

    I am having the same problem. I haven't been able to play since October 21st. Before that I played without any problems. I read using a VPN works for some people, but us on xbox don't have that option. Please let us know if you manage to find a solution, I have tried everything.

  • Well, for me right now the only “solution” is using a VPN. For gaming consoles, I can only recommend setting up a VPN on your router so it works specifically for the Xbox connection.

    But again, doing all that just for one game isn’t really worth it. Other than that, I’m just hoping EA fixes it. And, although it’s pretty obvious, it’s still worth mentioning that using a VPN will increase your ping. Without a VPN I had about 57ms, and now it’s around 100ms.
