As Miscensure stated i can confirm a fix if one person uses a VPN, kinda dumb because I used the free version of proton vpn and I lagged like crazy, so now I have to pay for one just so I can play with my bro. I'm on PC, steam hope this helps.

Another fix, one person changes their IP address by using Technitium MAC Address Changer, make sure to change your MAC address to somewhere close so you dont lag as much, this is Free.
