PS5 – Play menu becomes empty after spending extended time in Profile/Loadout
Platform: PlayStation 5
Game: Battlefield 6
Issue: Play menu / game modes fail to load
Description
I have encountered a recurring UI/menu issue on PS5.
If I spend an extended amount of time in the Profile or Loadout menus, and then return to the Play tab, the available game modes sometimes fail to load completely.
The Play screen remains visible, but the game mode tiles/content are missing and the screen is essentially empty. I am unable to select a game mode and start matchmaking.
Steps to reproduce
- Launch Battlefield 6 on PS5.
- Enter the main menu.
- Go to Profile and/or Loadout.
- Spend several minutes browsing or changing loadouts.
- Return to the main menu.
- Select Play.
- The game modes fail to load and the Play screen remains empty.
Expected result
The Play menu should immediately display the available game modes and playlists.
Actual result
The Play menu loads without the game mode tiles/content. The screen is empty and I cannot start a match.
Workaround
At the moment, the only workaround I have found is to leave the Play menu and enter another area such as the Shooting Range, then return to the main menu and open Play again. Sometimes this causes the game modes to load correctly.
Restarting the game also resolves the issue temporarily.
Frequency
This has happened multiple times and appears to be related to spending an extended period of time in Profile/Loadout before returning to Play.
This seems to be a menu/UI state issue rather than an internet connection problem, as the game itself remains responsive and the issue occurs after navigating between menus.
Please investigate whether the Play menu is failing to refresh/retrieve the available playlists after extended time in Profile/Loadout.
