Battlefield 6 mouse aiming feels incredibly choppy but feels perfectly smooth with a controller. No combination of settings were able to fix this for me. For reference this is a minor issue in Battlefield 1 for me, it’s not as bad. And mouse and controller aim feels perfect in Battlefield 4, Doom Eternal, The Finals, and Cyberpunk 2077. My PC - RTX 5090, 9800X3D, 240hz LG OLED 1440p, Logitech G502X mouse at 1000 polling rate. I’ve seen a handful of people mention this from the beta which I also played, but it seems worse at launch
Edit after more testing:
NVCP gsync on and vsync on with an in game cap of 120 and frame gen 2x makes the mouse jutter much better but not 100% gone. Also just used to gaming above 200 fps so 120 looks worse to my eyes
NVCP gsync off and vsync on with no in game fps cap, and vsync on in game has me at a constant 240fps with frame gen 2x. This is how I’m playing at the moment but the mouse jutter is still there. It’s definitely better than the gsynced 225 fps.

+1 on this issue, let's get EA to acknowledge it.

+1 on this as well. Ryzen 5800x, EVGA 3080, 32 gb ram @ 3600mhz, 240hz monitor, 1000 polling rate Logi Pro Wireless mouse.

Got the same Problem but the Other Way, using Controller for about 15 Min and starts stuttering more and more, when i disconnect the Controller an reconnect it works fine for the next about 15 Mins.
Mouse Keyboards ist absolutly smooth.
Runs on a 5700X3D , 9070XT, 32GB Ram.
1080P locked to 165FPS, without VSync, Adaptive Sync and Anti Lag active

Sorry for posting this everywhere, but I've logged my experience below to try and help and put this in multiple threads for visibility.
Anyone know if we can report this to EA directly?
I easily average over 100fps even on the bigger maps, but panning the camera with mouse input makes the game feel like it's running at 15fps despite no drops.
In-game reporting confirms it's running perfectly, as CPU/GPU are always rendering within 10fps of eachother.
Connect a controller though? Buttery smooth camera panning, and easy to track enemies. No hitches or stutters, just butter.
I've tried:
- All polling rates, from 125hz up to 4000hz
- Toggling raw input on/off
- Enabling/disabling Nvidia reflex
- Changing USB ports, changing to different mice, wired/wireless
- USB power saving etc all turned off
- I even tried a driver/Nvidia CP restore, but as controller is super smooth, this was a long shot in the first place
Unfortunately the game is unplayable using a mouse on PC due to this. It's next to impossible to track targets, and you quickly get a headache from the micro stuttering when panning. The effect is very similar to Helldivers 2 on PC, when you turn off 'Mouse Smoothing', as that game has serious issues with raw mouse input.
Happy to hear suggestions on how to fix this.
Mice tried:
- Keychron M4
- Logitech G305
- Logitech G604
- Razer Naga Hyperspeed
- AttackShark M1
I've also tried on an entirely different PC, same results. OLED as always exhacerbates the issue too, due to the awesome pixel response times. I fear many won't see it due to slower LCDs.
Specs are:
5700x3d
3060ti 8GB
32GB DDR4 3600 CL16
AW3423DW (Gsync module version)
This is on a fresh Windows install, up to date drivers (tried DDU as well to be sure), but honestly since it's running beautifully with a controller, this looks to be purely a mouse input issue.
No other games exhibit this issue other than... Helldivers 2, and Battlefield V. BF1 is butter on mouse, as are BF3 and BF4. Helldivers 2 can be fixed by turning on mouse smoothing in game.
I almost bought a GPU upgrade before testing the Xbox controller, saved myself £600. - pandanoodles233 days agoRising Traveler
EA_Leeuw let's get this fixed before the weekend.

+1 on this issue. Its not as bad as in the beta but still noticeable. Mouse movement just does not feel smooth despite 144 FPS locked in. No problem with keyboard.

Mouse choppy here, also. 9950X3D, RTX 5090, 64GB DDR5 6000, Gen5 NVME SSD. It was fine on beta. Fine in every other game. Choppy in BF6 retail.

Booted it up to check if they fixed it since the beta, immediately noticeable again. I guess the 5 or 6 threads in the now deleted beta forum with a ton of people in them weren't enough to go off?
I also have tried multiple mice, polling rates, vsync / gsync combinations, different framelimiters, nothing helped.
Posting my video of the issue from the beta, its the exact same issue again, running at the reflex cap of 224fps with gsync on, recorded at 240fps with my phone and played back at 30fps.
