Forum Discussion
Hi everyone,
We’re trying to gather more information about the situation here, where mouse look might feel less smooth than expected, even when the game’s framerate seems fine.
Some players have mentioned that:
- Mouse look feels less smooth than movement with WASD
- Mouse look feels less smooth than looking around with a controller
- Overall, mouse movement feels choppier than your FPS would suggest
If this sounds familiar, it would be very helpful if you could share a few details about your setup:
Please include the following if possible:
- PC Specs: CPU / GPU / RAM / Storage type (SSD/HDD)
- Monitor: Resolution & refresh rate
- Keyboard: Model, any related software installed, polling rate, and whether it has any mode-switching features
- Mouse: Model, any related software installed, polling rate, and if it has any mode-switching features
- Controllers: Any gamepads or similar devices connected
- Other USB Devices: Anything else plugged in that might affect inputs (USB hubs, stream decks, headsets with drivers, etc.)
Thanks in advance. This kind of detail really helps us narrow down what might be going on.
PC Specs: i7-13700k / 4090 / 32GB DDR5 7200@6400 / NvME Samsung S990 Pro
Monitor: LG C4 OLED 65" at 144hz with Gsync enabled, 4k HDR
Keyboard: Logitech G815
Mouse: Logitech G502 Hero
Controllers: A normal PS5 Dualsense, but only connected to test if BF6 looks smooth with it. It is not connected normally.
Other USB Devices: Epos GSX 300 (external Sound card for my Epos Headset), Keyboard and Mouse are connected with a USB Hub to the PC.
No problem in other Battlefield Games, like BF1 or BFV
If I lock BF6 to 60 FPS turning your mouse looks smooth again on screen. Activating Frame Generation to get to 120 is also fine. 120 FPS "native" does not. Or everything else above 60.
