Season 1 starts, yet many players haven't been able to play for days

13 days since game launch, 11 days since I last played without the PC shutting down issue.

Season 1 starts, I am seeing all those youtube videos and I just sit there idle, because I've tried everything (except replacing pc parts).

There are two types of issues. I urge you not to come here if your PC doesn't shut down, but it reboots instead or crashes to desktop etc. We want to separate these issues, even though they might be related.

See BF6 forcefully shutting down my PC | EA Forums - 12751728 (vote please)

Has anyone found anything that might work ? Maybe some have, but I bet once they made it work, they just played non stop and never came back to the forums.

Things I've tried not in the original thread:

  • Disabling XMP completely (2133 mhz)
  • Forcing DX11
  • Did windows' memtest

What I want to do but I'm having issues (basically run the game in a virtual machine, see if whether the host or the guest shuts down or at all):

  • I want to install Proxmox on an external drive and boot into it
  • Create a Windows 11 virtual machine while enabling GPU passthrough (or whatever it's called)
  • Try to play the game in this virtual environment and see if it still shutdowns my PC or just the virtual machine.
  • Right now I can't install proxmox in external drives because it looks like there's an issue with UAS (USB Attached Storage) with Proxmox

Wish Windows To Go was still a thing. There's a software to install windows in a live media, but it didn't work me.

Another thing that I tried today:

I installed windows 11 in an external SSD. The only thing I installed was: nvidia drivers, ea app and the game itself. I disabled all overlays from nvidia and ea app.

The issue happened 20 mins into the match. So that didn't help.

Stay tuned, I'm trying to run this game inside a VM using Proxmox so I can fully have the nvidia gpu inside the guest OS, see what happens then.
