Hi all, I’ll make this quick. Every time I join a new match or launch the game, none of my settings are saved.
In Documents → Battlefield 6 → Settings → Steam, I only have a file called Steam_autocloud.vdf.
Am I supposed to have a PROFSAVE_profile file there too?
Just to mention, I already uninstalled the game twice to check, but nothing changed.

Same issue on console. I am on the XBOX SERIES S and am going on four days of having to redo my co troller settings. Just spent over an hour fine tuning my weapons and testing my settings. Went ahead and thought it was all good. Exited out of the settings tab and the range. Went into a game and immediately I knew my settings did not save! Beyond annoyed and frustrated.
I tried the above methods but they didn't solve the problem in my environment. To begin with, the settings file itself isn't even created in Documents. Of course, I've configured the security settings, but they don't even show up in the protection history.
What on earth is going on? Incidentally, I purchased the game on Steam. Since its release, I've tried all the information I've found on various forums, but it hasn't improved at all.
Please fix this, EA. The game itself is great. Please don't make me even more frustrated.

For me, not only do the settings not save, nothing saves. My progress and everything completely wipes every time I go into the campaign. Starting to understand why IGN gave the campaign a 5 cause it has been a horrible experience for me.
Every time I launch the game i have to redo all my settings, the settings are not saved. i have to go through the startup every time i launch the game. I have seen people with the steam edition be able to correct this issue but no solution is available that works when you buy BF6 through EA.
the account you're using to install has admin rights to the drive you're installing to, correct?
I have changed the admin rights on the specific folder BF6 is in but not the entire drive. Is that needed?
