Stuck on map loading screen

I can't get into the game. The map loads to the end and that's it. The map doesn't load. After a long wait, all I can do is press alt + f4.

I hear explosions and vehicles in the background, as well as radio chatter. The screen prompts change, and the loading icon of four squares is active.
