Another album. First two are with frames capped to 90, and dynamic resolution set to 90. When set to 80 I didn't notice any issues, then when I went to 90 it got less stable.
The framerate looks good and above 60fps in those screenshots.
I see the yellow latency variation icon in the top left corner of the screen.
Latency variation means your ping time is fluctuating up and down. For example, 20ms, 30ms, then back down to 20ms.
This can also cause time nudge to increase, but not nearly as much as a low framerate.
This is usually caused when someone uploads or downloads something on the home router while you're gaming. For example, watching Netflix while you game, but it can also be ISP problems outside your network and control.
The only way to know where the ping fluctuations are coming from is to run a network traceroute to the game server.
I wrote a guide on how to do that. If you post a screenshot I'll interpret the traceroute results.
I assume that frame gen doesn’t help with this issue? Do if I’m getting 50 tessellated frames, and use frame gen to get over 60fps, the issue will still exist? I’m playing on a ROG Ally X and it struggles to maintain over 60fps on larger maps.

DarthVincent unfortunately frame generation won't help with time nudge (TN) spikes due to a framerate below 60fps on Official servers and 30fps on Community servers. Otherwise time nudge will spike if the framerate falls below that.

Where do we go to turn down our FPS? In the game settings? Will turning my HZ on my computer down from 120 to 60 help as well?
