When the game starts, it kills my internet connection

It’s been a year since I first sought help.
Two months have passed since I reached out for help a second time.
Whenever I launch the game, it kills my internet connection.
In the previous thread, more than 20 users reported having the exact same issue.

BF6:

BF2042

And yet, EA still hasn’t provided any help.
EA’s customer service is completely useless — all they ever say is:

Hello Lun,

We know you’ve been waiting for an update on your case, and we’re sorry to keep you waiting for so long.

When many fans contact us about the same issue, or during peak times for our advisors, our queues may get backed up.

We reached out to you via email to check on the progress of your case and confirm whether you still need assistance.

If your issue has already been resolved, no further action is required.

If you still need help, please reply to this email or continue following up on your case through EA Help. We’ll respond as soon as possible.

Thank you!

EA Help Team

Thank you so much — that’s zero help and zero real response. You’ve sent me the exact same useless message twice in a row.
So, has the issue been fixed yet? Any possible solutions at all?

I’ve been playing games for twenty years, and BF2042/BF6 are truly something special — they’re the only games capable of killing my internet.
This issue has existed since BF2042 — and now it’s been perfectly copied into BF6?
Did your engineers just copy and paste the core game code? Must be a really easy job.

The game launched on October 10, 2025,
and the problem still exists — it still kills my internet.

Great job, EA. Really, great job.
This is what happens when you provide no help at all from start to finish.

A month later, all I get is an email saying:

“We’ve resolved your issue.

Hello Lun,

We noticed there are some cases that haven’t received a reply from us yet.
If you’re still experiencing issues with your game, please create a new case at ea

Thank you for your support!

Wow. Amazing. Truly outstanding work.

  • I'm having the same problem. And I still haven't found a solution.

I've been struggling with this as well. I've done all sorts of rebooting, troubleshooting and even went and bought a new router thinking the traffic was somehow the issue. Note, my PC is connected via cable, but Wi-Fi still would crash. All of the above changes did not work.

Crashing my whole home's internet for trying to enjoy an $80 game is unacceptable.

Next look is maybe uninstalling and reinstalling, else I have no idea what to do.

EDIT 1: I tried reinstalling the anti-cheat. I think (as of the last hour) it's been working:
    - I googled "EA Anticheat Repair" and ended up on this link:
    https://help.ea.com/en/articles/platforms/pc-ea-anticheat/

Afterwards, I selected the folder in my steam files and it seems to work.

EDIT 2: It still ends up crashing... false alarm.

  • I have a similar problem very recently, it started tonight I kept getting timed out for inactivity in all game 1 minute after playing and after that my internet connection is dead as long as the game is open, the moment I close the game my internet come back up instantly
