I've been struggling with this as well. I've done all sorts of rebooting, troubleshooting and even went and bought a new router thinking the traffic was somehow the issue. Note, my PC is connected via cable, but Wi-Fi still would crash. All of the above changes did not work.
Crashing my whole home's internet for trying to enjoy an $80 game is unacceptable.
Next look is maybe uninstalling and reinstalling, else I have no idea what to do.

EDIT 1: I tried reinstalling the anti-cheat. I think (as of the last hour) it's been working:
- I googled "EA Anticheat Repair" and ended up on this link:

Afterwards, I selected the folder in my steam files and it seems to work.
