Winter offensive bonus tier skip still not working

I waited until today when they supposedly fixed the issue with tier skipping on the "Winter Offensive" bonus tier. I used extra coins I had to skip two tiers and nothing changed besides it taking my 300 coins. I contacted support and they just said to clear my cache and wait for the servers to sync. So I guess their latest update hasn't fixed anything.

Interested to see if anyone else is having the same issue with using tier skips post "update" from earlier today.
