I'm aging myself. Did anybody else here play 2142? I never got to. My PC at the time was subpar. I only played BF2 Modern Combat on Xbox. I miss that game. Would fans of the franchise today think it cool if EA ported 2142 to console?  So many PC games have been ported to Xbox with that Retro package they have now, along with past PC titles. I started thinking how cool it would be to see 2142 pop up in Xbox marketplace.  Though, I can't form an opinion on the game. I can only say I thought the previews looked really cool.  I'm not patient enough to mod or emulate anything on a PC today :)   Just want to plop down, lazy, in front of the tube and play on a console. 

Watching this intro to the game, really puts a hole in my gaming universe :)  It's the only one in the franchise I haven't played.  The gaming mechanics compared to today's gaming, might make it clunkier?  Is that a good word? Slower?  I don't think I'd mind. It might even make it more endearing.

I went to change my avatar, but could not edit my nickname.  Do I have to be on the board for a certain amount of time?  Avatar . . . does anybody still call them that?

    I never played it either, as I didn't get into Battlefield until BF1. I believe it's still playable on PC, although you might need to use the steps on https://battlefield2142.co/ . I don't personally think Dice would remake it as it's not something they've shown much interest in, but you never know. 

    Also, you should be able to change your account name in your account settings at https://ea.com .
