Warning: grown-up language ahead.
After years and years of amazing videos, reading comments and forum posts that sing the highest praises of this game, I finally gave in and bought battlefield 1 today, in spite of my decade-long boycott of EA.
And what the f do I run into?
It doesn't matter if I'm in a cutscene, pause menu or any other menu, or in a running game, single player multiplayer campaign or anything else. The game completely locks up for 14 seconds, unlocks and runs flawlessly for five.
After DARING to break my boycott and finally play this game, this is what happens.
And as I can't seem to find any fixes for this, whatever the hell is going on with this game has turned all of you into liars. Every last one of you that sung this game's praises, is WRONG. And I am better beyond rationale and reasonability because of this. Hence my gross unprofessionalism here.
This game is not amazing. It is absolutely unplayable. And I sincerely hate not being able to get a refund on steam, as I've had it downloaded for a few weeks now.
My boycott will continue. Maybe I'll wait another 10 years before I buy something else of theirs. But then again the same thing will probably happen then too.
