Bf1) I need help (new-ish player)

i used to play this on my ps4 a long time ago and got it for $1.99 on steam. downloaded it and I'm so confused on what im supposed to do from there. i try to connect to a server and it keeps disconecting me from it and saying that my connection has too much latency or along those lines.

I also dont like how they combined bf1/4/5/2042 into the same menu thing. its also just a buggy mess like screen tearing and the window thing at the top stays without disappearing, and at the bottom of the screen it has a bunch of lines.

if I cant figure this out im probably going to refnd it. this makes me really sad because i was looking forward to playing again
