Hello @DEVI8TRIX,
This may be a UI (User Interface) update for the Battlefield 1 menu. These updates don't require you to manually download anything, but rather update right then and there in the menu. Please tell me if that's what had happened or if the game asks to update every time you start the game.
Thanks,
aqpv

Hello @DEVI8TRIX
I am really sorry for those issues with Battlefield 1. Can you tell us, if you are able to run the game, or it won`t start at all, and only gives you this update message? In any case, can you try to clear Origin cache files and Repair the game in Origin one more time? Keep us posted on your progress.
Cheers,
Archi

whenever i start bf1, it says i need an update. upon clicking update, the game does nothing and same goes for clicking not now. it have tried manually updating and repairing, even uninstalling/reinstalling the game. nothing has worked.
On which of the three platforms are you playing? it sounds like PC, and if it is I recommend to uninstall Origin (your games will be fine) and then install the latest Origin from www.origin.com. After origin installs completely close it (make sure it's still not running in the task tray). Then right click the origin icon on your desktop and select 'run as administrator'. When you get to your games library run a repair of BF1. This is different from a normal repair because Origin is run at an elevated permissions level and often fixes problems that a normal repair doesn't.

the game is asking for update whenever you are trying to launch it, however there is not any update available, this happens every time I try to play

I've the same trouble, when I launch the game I have a message saying "You have to download and install this UI update to play online" and two buttons saying Yes or No. But I can't click those buttons so I stay blocked at this step and can't play.
I've redownloaded the game, checked the integrity of the files, checked for updates but I still have the problem. You can see below a poor picture of the message in french (I'm not even able to take a screenshot while BF1 is launched, I don't know why...)
It seems to be linked to the message we have before the game starts "Your graphic card is below the minimum requirements". But months ago, the game worked properly with it.

So, a way to fix the problem is to use a controller to click the "Update" button.... Hopefully I had one. I hope everybody else does...
