BF1 thinking AutoHotKey is running

BF1 thinks AutoHotKey is running when it isn't.

I have never installed AutoHotKey, nor do I have any .ahk files anywhere.

I have tried all of the basic troubleshooting steps, running as administrator, restarting etc. and nothing happens.

The only thing I can do is repair the anti-cheat which lets me launch the game once, if I relaunch the game afterwards it just says AHK is running again.

Clearly I do not have AutoHotKey running as the game would not launch at all but I don't know what else to try.

If you're still experiencing the issue, I recommend contacting EA Support, as they may have more accurate and detailed information to help you resolve it.

  • BF1 and that last update, whoosh. It's very frustrating. I have jumped through so many hoops I fell like I'm in a circus act.

I did try uninstalling and reinstalling the anti-cheat but it didn't make any difference.  I'd rather avoid uninstalling the game if I can as my connection isn't exactly the fastest.

I'll try to troubleshoot the anti-cheat but aside from reinstalling it and repairing it, I'm not sure what else I can try.

I experienced the same thing on Steam, despite never having used software like AutoHotKey. Verified files on Steam and the game launched, but as the previous user states upon closing and opening the game the same error message pops up.
