Hello. It’s been about a week now my PSN friends and I have been trying to rent a server (via in-game PS3 menu), but we keep getting a message stating ‘There is no content available for download at this time. Please try again later.’ Has this option become obsolete? Thanks in advance.

some people think it's because, the new consoles are soon here.

so the playstation 3, and Xbox 360. will shut down for all online soon after.
but it was what people, was guessing on.
I don't know myself, because I haven't been on my PS3 for many years.
because when I got my PS4, I gave away my PS3 with all games.
to people who have no money, to buy one themselves.
and I will do it again with my PS4, when i get the PS5.

and after that I told you why, I couldn't look for myself on the PS3 servers.

looks like they are closing down, the rent a server program.
