Solved

Connection to EA online timed out. Your network may not meet the requirements.

I've been getting this error since 3 days now. It was perfectly working before and now it doesn't get me into the game. Every other game, even Apex works fine.

I have Fiber internet connection which is faster than required speed for the game.

So far I tried:
-Reinstalling / Repairing Battlefield 1
-Flushing and repairing my connection settings in Windows
-Updating Ethernet and GPU Drivers
-Enabling UPnP
-Cleared EA App cache and did a clean install as well
AND Even buying the game from Steam again!!!!

None of these worked! Please help! I'm going insane

  • Hello, I fixed the problem by setting the NAT Type to Open (Type 1) (though it heavily varies on your modem/router type so do it accordingly) then restarting the router.

In addition, UPnP and Port Forwarding may also work. Since they are also a way to bypass the striction.

    Hey McFrostyNuggets,

Thanks for sharing the troubleshooting steps you've taken so far. It sounds like you've covered most bases software-wise.

Please try these connecting troubleshooting steps to review your network environment, as there are a couple of additional steps we can take. In particular, changing your DNS and contacting your ISP to check your NAT type.

  • Hi, I had the same problem as yours, but I think I figured it out. What I did is just change the client port.

Click BF1(EA) - Manage - View properties - Under Advanced Launch Option: type in "-clientport (numbers)"

Google suggest me on few numbers of clientport
    -clientport 21266 (I use this)
    -clientport 21267
    -clientport 21268

    It works for me.

    Do give it a try.
