Do I need Xbox Live Gold to use my Battlefield 3 premium?

Recently bought this old game to XB 360, downloaded all the contents and still don't see anything from the premium assignments. Where are they? Do I need a Gold account to use them? Battlelog also sa...

    Premium is only for Multiplayer mode. Also, make sure you downloaded premium content.

thanks for responding, I needed gold live to connect my soldier, but still can not see premium content on my xbox 360 

or all premium content is a kind of multiplayer stuff?
