Possible BF3 Award Score Bug – Over 2 Billion Points

Hi all,

I’m trying to understand a possible Battlefield 3 stats bug on my account. My total playtime is ~35 hours, and my combat score is consistent with beginner-level gameplay. However, my award score shows over 2,221,000,000 points, which makes my total score per minute appear impossible.

I previously tried posting about this, but my post seems to have been lost or deleted without notification or explanation — possibly another forum bug.

I also spoke with an EA Chat Advisor, who suggested I post again here so the community and EA team can look into it.

Has anyone else seen award scores this large? Could this be a known stats bug or overflow issue? Any insight would be appreciated.

Thank you.

    Hi,

That’s definitely an integer overflow or a modded XP server glitch. Having a Score Per Minute (SPM) over a million is basically a "kick me" sign for automated server plugins, even if your actual combat stats are totally normal.

Since you can't manually edit those career totals, you're essentially "marked" by the autoban bots. Your best SurgeCard bet is to appeal to specific server admins manually, but honestly, most people in your shoes just start a fresh soldier to avoid the headache.

    Hi all,
I’m hoping someone here can help me figure out what’s going on with my Battlefield 3 player stats.

Our BF3 soldier account ( ginwithkev2 ) is getting automatically banned from certain servers with the reason “impossible stats” or “reapplying ban due to origin of original ban.” The specific flag seems to come from the score/minute number showing 1,059,848 points per minute, which is obviously unrealistic.

Here is the public BF3 stats profile for reference:
    https://battlelog.battlefield.com/bf3/soldier/ginandkev2/stats/188736530/pc/

    The part that looks wrong

Total playtime: 35 hours (about 2100 minutes)
    Total multiplayer score: 2,235,220,150
K/D, accuracy, kills, deaths — all normal for a beginner.

    But then:

    • Combat score across all classes is only ~13 million (which matches gameplay)
    • Award score is 2,221,469,952
    • Unlock score is ~28k

So it looks like 99% of the total score is coming from award score alone, which is what inflates the score/min calculation.

    Background

Years ago, used to join those old “capture-the-flag / fast XP / no-kill” servers where players took turns capturing flags or completing assignments/ribbons. They were common at the time — no cheating tools involved, just weird servers where people farmed ribbons fast.

But even with that, 2+ billion award score sounds way beyond what those servers usually gave, so I'm wondering if:

    • This is a known BF3 stats bug
    • Or if certain ribbons/awards multiplied incorrectly
    • Or if legacy XP-cap servers could inflate award score unintentionally
    • Or if an integer overflow happened over the years
    • Or if something on Battlelog/BF3stats mis-recorded large award numbers

I'm not trying to defend the score — I'm simply trying to understand how BF3 could even generate award numbers that large, especially when the player has low kills and low assignment progress.

    My questions for the community
    1. Is the 2.2 billion award score a known glitch or corruption in BF3 stats?
    2. Could old XP/flag-trading servers realistically generate award-score numbers that huge?
    3. Has anyone seen “impossible stats” bans caused specifically by award score, not combat score?
    4. If this is a known bug, is there any fix besides manually resetting stats?

I’m not accusing any server admins of anything — I just want to understand what caused this so can play on community servers again without being automatically flagged.

Any help, insight, or examples would be hugely appreciated.
    Thanks in advance!
