Tried it but still the same

  • Well it was worth a shot sorry :/ Ok go to the event viewer and get me the event id and source so I can try and find you a correct fix. Or you can try this your choice.

CHKDSK utility will try and recover or fix any data or installation errors. This can take a few hrs. SSD vs HD

What event id and source are you looking for? There are application events ...windows events...and a bunch of sub catagories under each
  • You need to go to the top one left side ... event viewer local

Then to the list on the right  go to error and right click with your mouse and view all instances of this error.

Your looking for a event  error at the same time BF4 failed

So i ran malwarebytes and found some suspicious files that i deleted. After that it ran fine for a couple of games. This morning i tried again and the same issue returned.

I copied the event viewer stuff after i attempted to load a game and it eventually stopped working. Usually tthe game doesnt stop working i just ge a message that states "something went wrong"

  • Hi sorry  I was off line for a few days ok this...  Faulting module name: nvwgf2umx.dll, is from Nvidia driver so try a clean install of new video card driver.

Cool man. Ya i did it. Sometimes i get into servers. Empty ones mostly. Populated ones occasionally but then its like im invisable to the enemy and i cant damage them.
  • Did you already try killing the folder in my Documents and repair game? Something could be messed up in the game cfg. If I recall you did this but still worth another try :/

BF4 folder in my documents holds game configs and screen shots even if BF4 is installed on different drive. When you uninstall BF4 it does NOT remove this folder. So when you install the game again you can still have the same issues. Even if its not a new install it is still worth trying as the game cfg could be mucked up.

1- Go to my Documents and remove BF4 folder place it on your Desktop or trash.
2- Be warned you do have to set up your in game settings again.
    3-Repair BF4
4- When done go test your game.

Yes i did that. I brought Pc to work to test on other router and adsl line. Works fine. When i ping google in CMD i get 222 ping at work 10 and i live 2 miles from my work. So its network or router related.

  • Nice so time for a new router or net provider if its from them .

    Hi again

So I am being shaped by my ISP 6% p2p and 25% downloads. I turbo charged my connection thereby bypassing the shaping and now it loads in quickly.

Super annoyed with them as I changed nothing in my data usage etc. I pay 55 dollars for a 2mb uncapped line here in South Africa (rediculous) and this is the **bleep** I get.

Thanks again for all the suggestions.

Ill take the fight to them.
