I'm not giving EA an excuse because they should have known what they will need to run the game smoothly and should have had plenty of metrics to forecast the traffic they could expect in the early days and been prepared for it. However, I will say we're like two generations onward so the stress on and requirements of a server are exponentially greater than back then I would assume. The advance in graphics means larger data loads
