So we can supposedly edit fake players that are on the roster before starting dynasty, but we cannot edit random recruits once dynasty starts. This makes no sense and you need to patch this and enable this option in the game.
I agree! Why show it if we can't use it?
I'm wondering if we can't change numbers because the game allows for the same number to be used for both offensive and defensive players? Maybe they don't want us to "accidentally" give two guys on offense number 7 (as an example). Although you'd think they'd be able to put something in to prevent that. In my RTG, I'm number 5 but so is my starting RB and no penalty is called when we are on the field together.
My issue is that I'm not always sure who is making the play because I didn't assign them the number. For example, if number 14 on the defense makes a tackle along the sideline, was it a safety? Was it a corner? Was it a linebacker? Assigning a number helps me know who the players are. I also don't like playing a QB on the other team with a number in the 20s. This isn't the 1980s.
this topic needs to constantly be in conversation... instead of EA coming out and saying that there will be 0 customization for players they scam us and tell us there is 1600 faces etc. come to find out its for team builder and you cannot make or edit ANY players other than your RTG player. people like me focus on creating draft classes on Madden and bringing them to life. i have used the same names for my draft classes for years and all i wanted was to put them in college football for the first time since 14... this absolutely ruins the game
Well here is to hoping that they finally say something. At least if we can keep this community going long enough, it has to be to the point they can’t ignore it right?

It’s all we can do. It wouldn’t surprise me if this thread got to a thousand replies and still nothing is ever done about it. But the only ones that look bad are EA for not doing anything about it.
its one small feature that can be fixed pretty easily…. And it would make a lot of people happy.
Yes you can do that but they only let edit so many fake players on one team after you edit maybe three or four players they stop letting you edit them it’s like the players won’t save the equipment or attributes
What’s crazy is they could have just gave us a roster with random players that we could edit or do whatever with but instead they make us go and find a fake player we can’t even change the number. I don’t care about these new players in the game I don’t even know most them I want to my own players and change the name and numbers and make them freshmen I wanted the college game for the schools and not the players. This is not fun as people make it seem
