Has anyone figured out what each school looks for when hiring a coach? I didn't start off at the school I want to coach at in the hopes of earning that job, but I cannot seem to get an offer from them when the job is open. I started at Southern Miss and brought them up. I took the Ohio State OC job 7-8 years in and still can't get an IU offer lol. Any thoughts?

I saved the game before offers and go to the next week. A team I wanted was open but no offer. I went back to my save, changed my playbook, alma matter, and recruiting area before loading the next week. Still didn’t get an offer from the school. I was an A prestige coach. SMH.
lots of bugs to sort out. I simmed through about 20 seasons and never got the offer. There's going to have to be a massive dynasty update so I'm not even going to really start my legit ones yet. I'm just playing around with the different coaching trees to see what I want to do for my main one come the fall.

Started a new dynasty with 3 coordinators. Played first season. One OC went 12-0 and made the playoff. No offers. Another OC went 11-2 and was offered OC of Washington (good but I was hoping for a MWC job). My DC went 10-2 with a top defense and no offers. If this were baseball, 1-3 would be good. Again, the lack of jobs is frustrating.
Has anyone noticed that they say you get four weeks to decide what jobs you wanna take but really it’s only two after two weeks. It goes right to Coach carousel and you don’t have any more job offers and usually there anywhere from 5 to 10 head coaching jobs available and, their system on what they use to decide is ridiculous schools preferences are garbage And they need to scrap it. I don’t care if it’s a job offer downgrade I should be able to take Akron and rebuild them Especially when I’m a higher level coach, I don’t think Nevada cares if you were a head coach of Michigan and all of a sudden you just wanna get a new job change and you can’t because for whatever reason the game does not want Nevada to hire you
an NCAA 14 the coach carousel was pretty good, not fantastic, but it was good enough to where people weren’t gonna complain about not getting the job offer of the school you want because you’re part of the alma mater or you were a national championship winning coach and wanted to go coach for whoever the lowest rank school because they’re gonna take you they’re gonna throw the job at you in 2025 they don’t do that
Also, have you noticed if you were a low-level school and you lose the two the two coordinators that you you had on your staff that you built up you don’t get the same quality or even a better quality offensive coordinator. It’s usually decent that you’re getting offered. You don’t get the opportunity to put out whoever’s out there. You can’t go to school and say hey I’d like for you to come to come coach for me because I won’t allow you to do that But the computer will Be able to poach your coaches
I just seemed through a season where I took you to a bowl game didn’t win it, but it took them there and I was a C+ prestige head coach. There was three teams that I thought that I thought would offer me a job, Nevada, UL, Monroe, and Boise state Out of those three I could not they didn’t offer me a job instead UL Monroe took an F rated head coach Nevada took an F rated head coach Boise State a rated head coach over me. This is ridiculous and this is ruining the game for me.
Someone in a separate related post told me they most of the jobs are asking for the other two types of coaches (not recruiters). I’m guessing most people are making recruiting specialists but that isn’t what jobs are looking for so the offers are low. Personally, I would think a school would want a recruiter coach but probably just want a winner.
