Polls after Title Update
So I saw a bunch of people complaining about how polls are still broken and went into our league and saw 8-1 Clemson at #1 and 10-0 Oregon at #2 (last undefeated team). I was like that's silly. But when I went into polls and cycled through Media and Coaches polls both had Oregon #1 with ALL 1st place votes. It was only showing Clemson 1st in CFP poll. In the release notes for super sim it mentioned something about expected win totals. I bet CFP is weighing assumptions on how teams will finish unplayed games instead of strictly looking at what they've accomplished. In this case they assume Clemson will win out with a tougher schedule where it assumes Oregon will lose, or it thinks Clemsons strength of schedule is far superior and their only loss was to a strong opponent.
I can't remember if the default top25 poll is always CFP or only once you pass a certain week. If it's always defaulting in the UI to CFP that's probably part of the confusion bc I haven't made an effort to drill into that section until now. If this is the case Maybe they could add a comment when showing CFP indicating "This poll represents a projection", or maybe they could show the top 10 side by side of CFP against Media or Coaches poll so it's clearer that CFP poll doesn't matter until end of season.
FROM RELEASE NOTES
"Various tuning fixes to increase the gap between good and bad teams/players.
Dev Note: We are going to continue to monitor the simulation results to ensure that teams and players are performing within expected ranges, including reducing frequency of upsets, based on Pre-Season Projections and expected win totals.
