Protected Rivalries/Coach Carousel/Top 25 Polls/Game Clock
I love college football, and love the effort seemingly being put into this game, but there are several problems that just make dynasty unplayable right now for me...
1. Protected Rivalries: There is no option to protect rivalries when moving conferences and that's really frustrating. I added teams to the B1G and OSU didn't play Michigan. Being a Michigan fan, this was extremely frustrating because that is THE GAME! It's the only game on the schedule that matters, and it wasn't played because I added teams to the B1G... You need to have a way to protect these rivalries.
2. Coaching Carousel: The carousel is seemingly broken. First of all, teams that are still currently playing in the playoffs should not be able to offer me a HC job before their season ends. Second, coach prestige seems to mean nothing, (I really don't even understand how you're supposed to increase your prestige either...) big time programs are hiring guys with terrible prestige. For example I started a dynasty with Kent State as an OC, we had an average year and my prestige wasn't very good and rightfully so, but I was getting HC offers from decent schools like Memphis and Washington State. I should only be getting lowly MAC or Sunbelt offers for my first HC gig, especially if my prestige isn't good and I've been an OC for one year. Like how am I getting offers to be the HC at Washington State but no school in the MAC wants me? Like that makes no sense. Start small and work to bigger offers like WSU, that's how it should be.
3. Top 25 Polls: The polls are absolutely terrible. In my dynasty I had UNDEFEATED (10-0) Penn State ranked #2 behind #1 Kansas State WHO HAD TWO LOSSES! In what world would a 7-2 team be ranked ahead of an UNDEFEATED big time program, or even ranked in the top ten!? That's the other problem, the amount of 3 and 4 loss teams that are somehow ranked in the top ten is infuriating. In one of my seasons, (6-3) Ohio State was ranked #2 and plenty of big time teams only had one loss yet they were somehow ranked behind OSU...... I get it's OSU but with 3 losses they should be ranked in the 20's! or maybe not even ranked! The polls are probably the worst part of the whole experience, because it is so unrealistic it hurts.
4. Game Clock: And finally the game clock. Is it just me or does the clock seem to tick soooooooo slow? Like I've had times where I scored a TD with 3:45 left on the clock and the other teams goes on a 6-7 play drive, yet somehow I get the ball back with 3:23 left.... You're telling me the other teams seven play drive took 22 seconds off the game clock.....? That's so unrealistic. Or like when you score and give the other team the ball with 20 seconds left in the half, yet they're somehow able to go on a 8 play scoring drive and you get the ball back with 6 seconds left still in the half somehow! That has happened to me so many times and it's just awful. They definitely need to fix this.
Those are the biggest things and problems that I have noticed that needs fixing. I hope EA actually listens and helps us all out! But seriously this game is amazing! It just needs a few tweaks to get it to it's full potential!
