Can’t answer first interview question in Road to Glory Xbox Series X

When creating a new road to glory character I cannot answer the first interview question after creation. I cannot move the cursor anywhere besides the first answer nor can I even select the first answer. It soft locks the game and I cannot quit the nose or skip the question. I have to close the game and restart it. Xbox Series X. Anyone else have this issue or a solution to this bug?
