Coaches removed

Agreed, this basically ruined the game for me.  I played one offline dynasty season and waited for VT to hire a new coach to start a new dynasty.  Tried to start it and my only option is Phillip Montgomery (intern VT head coach). 

So I thought I would start a dynasty as Penn St, sim season and make sure VT loses enough to fire coach and then move Franklin from Penn St to VT myself in coaching carousel.  But no, Penn State has some fake coach.

It is absolutely astonishing that this feature that shipped with the game has been removed.  For players you can choose the default roster the game shipped with or the active updated roster.  So why is it different for coaches?  These coaches were advertised as a selling point for the game this year and now they are gone with no way to get them back.  Can't belive I paid 60 bucks to play one dynasty season.

Came here to ask this. Only way to run a VT Dynasty is to make a fake James Franklin now? Little early in the cycle for the EA cash grab of “making you buy the next game.” This sucks 

Yeah, this bothers me.  I would've honestly preferred them to just leave the coaches as is until next year's game (I'm pretty sure that's how all games have operated up to this point).

I just started a batch of new Dynasties with BYU, Vanderbilt, Illinois, and Duke and this is bothering me so much; especially since they also (seemingly) took out the ability to rename and customize the generic fake coaches and still be able to retire while the name and other changes remain.

I really don't understand WHY they actively make their game worse for the players with this now removing real coaches in the middle of the CFB Playoffs and the update before that removed being able to Encourage Transfers before the offseason Transfer Portal recruiting opened up.  Both of those things have made my enjoyment of the game suffer dramatically (I know to some that sounds dumb but more options is always a good thing, even if you, yourself, don't use them). 

Exactly this is so dumb I totally expect Moore to be gone from Michigan with the next update. 

I second this, why on gods green earth did they remove those coaches?

At least put them in the free agent couch pool 

I haven't even noticed this yet but I will check it out now. Regardless the coaching carousel is broken after they moved encourage transfer to the end of season where the players just end up disappearing. Can't believe they never fixed this! It's almost like they don't even try out or test their own game and creation or adjustments and changes.
