75% of the time I run a play action rollout, there is an illegal man down field. This really goes to show how poor block logic is coded in this game. There’s no option to turn this penalty off, so PA rollouts are not optimal plays to call.
Just started playing with a Dual Threat QB and suddenly I am PLAGUED with these penalties. We need the option to turn this penalty off like we can with others.
I've run into this a lot too. Not anywhere near 75%, but a fair amount.
I think the blockers sometimes anticipate the QB turning up field if you start running towards the line of scrimmage on the rollout. If you keep drifting sideways, you don't get called as often.
I tend to get these penalties when I am trying to "place" the ball and attempting to lead a guy away from the coverage, so I do think the coding reacts to how your QB is floating on the rollout.
