Transferring players needs fixed

I had a freshman that I redshirted and was looking to start them the following year. Finished the season and they went into the transfer portal because of Playing Time. The persuade was Very High, but yet they still decided to leave. How can a player that was on a redshirt year leave because of playing time when the system has no clue if I am going to start them the next year or not? 

Playing Time and Playing Style are completely broken and costing potential recruits or keeping players.
