Protected rivalries when changing conferences
So if you realign the conferences these protected rivalries are useless unless I'm missing something. It's not really protecting rivalries, it's really just locking a couple of games for your schedul...

Is the team you want to play in your conference? If they are not in your conference you should be able to schedule the game as a non conference opponent.
