Playing style for the 3rd year in a row is broken. I shouldn't be forced to play a certain way for a recruit. For example, forcing myself to go get sacks with an edge rusher just so Johnny on my recruiting board doesn't lock me out, EVEN THOUGH HE'S LITERALLY ALREADY COMMITTED TO MY SCHOOL, is so incredibly dumb
It is not that it is broken. It needs a longer proof of concept. It needs to focus on years and not weeks. It needs to be macro than micro. For a new coach it needs to include their old team, even if they were a coordinator.
I allowed an average of 175 passing yards the first 2 weeks and lost my lurker MLB insta commit. I had to rerecruit my tightend instacommit because my current tightends only caught the ball 8 times in the first 2 weeks.
Those first three weeks are crucial for playstyle dealbreaker recruits. I hate it. I have to make sure I play cupcake teams those first few weeks. No more 2 week byes to start off the season as well.
