C&C Red Alert 1 freezes for some seconds

Hi.

I have a problem with Red Alert Command & Conquer

The game freezes for a fiew seconds over and over again.

And the display turns black and the game apears again.

the ea app also is not responding

i repaired the game but no result.

i run it as admin.

does it need directx 9?
